So after 2 years of fundraising and team building, the members of Unit 62 Berkshire Blue Bears met up and headed to Heathrow to start their journey to the World Scout Jamboree in West Virgina, in the United States of America.
The 36 young people and 4 adults come from across the County, with severn coming from Wokingham District….and 40 very distinct bags….
Having successfully checked in those bags they could look forward to boarding their American Airlines flight. They found themselves sharing with another unit (Unit 85) from Warwickshire.
Once landed and having cleared immigration and US customs yes it was the game of “find my bag”.
Having found your bag and coach, the Unit heads for “The Big Apple” and to see some sights.
