Explorers head to KIJ

So as large format camps come back on line for Scouting, Wokingham District Explorers have jumped in and headed to Kent to take part in Kent International Jamboree.

Kent International Jamboree (KIJ) , follows the ethos of offering a mini World Jamboree experience in the heart of Kent. The theme for this year is Our Celestial World and sub camps as planets. The camp opened for arrivals on Saturday and the welcome event took place in the Apollo Arena where 5000 young people and leaders gathered.

Activities started on Sunday and yesterday the day trip to Hastings beach.
